4-star DT Holley Talks Offer

Coach Venables spoke with 4-star defensive tackle Thomas Holley Friday to give him the good news about a Clemson offer.

“I got offers from Clemson on Friday.  I also got an offer from Alabama the same day.  I spoke with both coaches on the phone and they told me I had the offers,” said Holley.

The offer list is growing quickly for the prize recruit.

“I have 15 offers now,” said Holley.

When asked about his current favorites, Holley responded, “As of right now I don’t have any yet”.

“I went to Penn State and Rutgers in February,” said Holley.

Thomas plans to take a number of visits in the next few months, including a stop in Clemson.

“I am going to take some visits this spring and summer.  I want to visit Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ole Miss, Florida, Florida State and Miami.  I don’t have any scheduled yet.  I am still in basketball season,” said Holley.

Does the New York standout know current Tiger Ebenezer Ogundeko?

“I have heard of him, but I haven’t had the opportunity to meet him,” replied Holley.

What will be important when Thomas selects his college destination?

“First I will look at academics.  I want to have good academics so in case by career is cut short I have a good education in the field I want to work.  I want to find a place where I feel comfortable that I can live for the next four or five years.  I want to find coaches that will work with me on the field and be a mentor, father figure of the field,” replied Holley.

Don’t expect an early decision from the top defensive tackle.

“I will probably wait until sometime next  season.  I want to get an idea for the schools and build relationships with the coaches,” said Holley.
