Gallman hitting his stride at right time

Clemson running back Wayne Gallman was not exactly sure what he was supposed to do with the Leather Helmet he was honored with after rushing for 109 yards on nine carries in the third-ranked Tigers’ win over Boston College last Friday.

“They made me wear it for a couple of pictures. Then I gave it to the equipment people to take home because I did not know what to do with it,” Gallman said earlier this week. “I did not know if I was supposed to give it back or if I was supposed to keep it.”

Gallman’s 109 yards marked the second straight game he rushed for more than 100 yards in a game, and the 15th time in his career, which tied a Clemson record.

“Hopefully, it can continue,” Gallman said
