Recruit Reaction: Clemson-FSU

Third-ranked Clemson defeated then 14th-ranked Florida State 37-34 on Saturday night in Tallahassee, and many of Clemson’s commitments and targets were watching.

The Clemson Insider caught up with a number of those recruits for their reactions to the game. Check out what they had to say about Clemson’s thrilling victory:

 

Matt Bockhorst, OL – Cincinnati, Ohio (St. Xavier) – commit:

“The boys always love to make things interesting, but they know how to win and put games away.”

Chase Brice, QB – Loganville, Ga. (Grayson) – commit:

“It was a great team win through the ups and downs. That’s basically been the story for Clemson this year, and they keep proving each week that they know how to win!”

Devyn Ford, RB – Stafford, Va. (North Stafford):

“It was amazing. I mean the way they didn’t give up.”

Tee Higgins, WR – Oak Ridge, Tenn. (Oak Ridge) – commit:

“Great win! Fought hard on both sides of the ball.”

Mike Jones, LB – Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy) – commit:

“It was great to se us go into Tallahassee and beat them at their own place.”

Owen Pappoe, LB – Loganville, Ga. (Grayson):

“Clemson has NO quit inside of them.”

Amari Rodgers, WR – Knoxville, Tenn. (Knoxville Catholic) – commit:

“I was nervous but I knew at the end of the day we would get the job done!”

Baylon Spector, LB – Calhoun, Ga. (Calhoun) – commit:

“Very impressive road win! And showed a lot of what the team is capable of.”

Jake Venables, LB – Central, S.C. (Daniel):

“Great win. Another one of those you wish you could play in.”
