Watson has hot hand in second quarter


Deshaun Watson connected with Mike Williams for a 14-yard touchdown to put Clemson up 23-0 over Syracuse with 7:16 left in the second quarter.

The drive was kept alive when Watson hit Deon Cain for a 23-yard completion on third and 12.

The Tigers drove the ball 89 yards on 12 plays in 5:00. That was Clemson’s second longest drive of the year, with the longest one coming on the previous possession.
