Clemson scored another touchdown to claim a 28-0 advantage with 12:44 left in the second quarter on a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Deshaun Watson, his second rushing score of the game. It was an eight-play, 52-yard drive and the Tigers’ fourth touchdown in four possessions.
Clemson converted two more third downs on the drive, making it six of seven on third down in the game. One of the third-down conversions during the drive was a 22-yard run by Wayne Gallman that set up Clemson at Wake Forest’s 4-yard line.
Watson is now 12-of-15 passing for 117 yards, one passing touchdown and the two rushing touchdowns. Gallman has eight carries for 96 yards and a touchdown.
