What they are saying: Clemson pledges in playoffs

Chase Brice

Several of Clemson’s commitments and their teams are still playing in the playoffs as December nears. Three of those commits — Grayson (Ga.) quarterback Chase Brice, Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake cornerback A.J. Terrell and Roswell (Ga.) cornerback LeAnthony Williams — won last night and advanced to the Georgia 7A state semifinals.

Check out what was said about Clemson’s pledges in the playoffs:

Brice completed 6-of-9 passes for 90 yards and a 13-yard touchdown pass in Grayson’s 49-21 win over Colquitt County.

Linebacker commit Baylon Spector, who plays on both sides of the ball for Calhoun (Ga.), ran for a 3-yard touchdown in Calhoun’s 47-21 loss to Cedar Grove in a Class 3A Elite Eight matchup.

Running back Cordarrian Richardson carried the ball just three times for six yards in Trezevant (Tenn.)’s 2A semifinal game against Waverly Central due to nagging injuries, but Trezevant won 34-26.

Terrell and Westlake beat Lowndes 24-21.

Williams intercepted a pass in the first quarter against North Cobb, and Roswell capitalized on the forced turnover by scoring a touchdown. Roswell went on to win 42-21.
