Recruit reaction: Clemson's ACC Championship

After Clemson defeated Virginia Tech 42-35 on Saturday night in the ACC championship game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., The Clemson Insider reached out to some of Clemson’s commitments for their reactions to the Tigers winning their second consecutive conference title for the first time since winning three in a row from 1986-88.

Check out what the commits had to say:

Matt Bockhorst, OL, Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier High:

“Love it. Just one more box checked on the season goals. Now we got the playoff coming up, and it’s time to compete for a national title.”

Chase Brice, QB, Grayson (Ga.) Grayson High:

“I was really excited to see them go back-to-back! That’s special for the program, and it just speaks volume for the dedication of the coaches and the team. I think they’ll be ready for Ohio State.”

Noah DeHond, OL, Hightstown (N.J.) Peddie School:

“It was a great game, and I’m really happy that we have another shot at the title.”

Mike Jones, LB, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy:

“It was great to see us claim that top spot in the ACC again.”

Amari Rodgers, WR, Knoxville (Tenn.) Knoxville Catholic High:

“It was great, and shows how elite our program is and will be in the upcoming years.”

Baylon Spector, LB, Calhoun (Ga.) Calhoun High:

“Thought it was a good win for Clemson. Another thing to add to the list.”

Blake Vinson, OL, Citra (Fla.) North Marion High:

“I’m super pumped for everyone in the program. All the coaches and players really deserved this. They imposed their will and won through attrition. Go Tigers!”

Jordan Williams, DE, Virginia Beach (Va.) Cox High:

“It was a great win. They made it a nail-biter, but I knew they would pull through.”
