Venables says defense has right attitude

Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables said his defense came with the right attitude as the Tigers held a 99-play scrimmage on Wednesday at the Poe Indoor Practice Facility in Clemson.

“They had a good attitude and gave a good effort,” he said. “Guys were not already checked out for spring break. I was kind of worried about that. I thought our guys had the right mindset, came in to compete and tried to get better.”

The Clemson defense won the scrimmage over the offense as it was the more consistent unit, forcing two turnovers and getting after the offense all afternoon.
