Lee: ‘We did some good things tonight’

Clemson baseball coach Monte Lee spoke to the media following the third-ranked Tigers’ 9-7 victory over Georgia on Wednesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Lee was proud of the way starter Tyler Jackson played and pounded the strike zone in earning his sixth win of the season on the mound.

“We did some good things tonight,” Lee said afterward. “I thought Tyler Jackson threw the ball very, very well. There were no walks tonight. He pounded the strike zone. After a few too many free passes over the weekend we got back to doing what we have been doing all year, which is pounding the strike zone.”
