Cox doubles in Clemson's first two runs

Clemson finally showed some life in the bottom of the sixth inning when Andrew Cox doubled off the wall in left centerfield to score Chase Pinder and Reed Rohlman. However, the Tigers still trail Vanderbilt, 7-3, after six innings of play.

Rohlman led off the inning for the Tigers with a base hit to right field and Pinder reached with a one-out walk. After Weston Jackson struck out swinging, Cox took Kyle Wright’s 3-2 offering to right centerfield where it bounced off the wall for a two-out double. Beer and Pinder easily scored on the play.

Jordan Greene picked up Cox from third base, after he moved over on a wild pitch, with a base hit through the right side. Clemson was 0-6 with runners in scoring position before Cox’s double.
