Davidson's bomb puts Tigers ahead

Clemson didn’t have a hit with runners in scoring position against UNC Greensboro in Game 5 of the Clemson Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium — until freshman Logan Davidson delivered for the Tigers in the top of the seventh inning.

With one out, Kyle Wilkie on third base and Clemson down by a run, Davidson sent a two-run bomb to right field that gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead, their first of the game.

Clemson then added another run for a 5-3 advantage. Andrew Cox struck out with one out and the bases loaded, but Reed Rohlman came home to score after the ball bounced away from UNC Greensboro catcher Ryan Clinch.

After the home run, Davidson is now batting .429 (6-for-14) in the regional.
