New DB target talks dream offer from Clemson

On Friday, Clemson extended an offer to Atlanta (Ga.) Carver four-star safety Quindarious Monday.

Clemson safeties coach Mickey Conn informed him of the offer over the phone.

“It felt good because it’s an offer I always wanted,” Monday told The Clemson Insider. “It’s one of my dream schools. I like the coach (Dabo Swinney), and it’s a winning program.”

Monday’s offer sheet features prestigious programs from across the Southeast, and it’s easy to see why.

The physical 6-foot-3, 175-pounder has the range, length and ball skills coaches covet in a player at his position.

He is looking to visit Clemson in the near future after adding the offer.

“I am going to try, soon,” Monday said. “I’m just trying to see what they have to offer and how much love they show, see how the players are.”

Monday also touts offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee among others.

He claims no leaders and said location will be a factor in his future commitment decision.

“I will most likely make my decision towards the middle of the season, and (it will be important) for my parents to have an easy way to get to me whenever they need to,” he said.

Monday is ranked as the No. 9 safety and No. 114 prospect regardless of position in the 2018 class according to ESPN.
