5-star WR announces decision date

Houston (Texas) Alief Taylor five-star wide receiver Brennan Eagles said on Friday night that he will announce his commitment on July 17.

Eagles (6-4, 215) received an offer from the Tigers the day after his first visit to Clemson on April 23. A week later, he released a top 10 of Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, TCU and Texas. Texas is thought to be the odds-on favorite.

Eagles, who plans to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, recorded 38 receptions for 757 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior last season.

He is ranked as a consensus top-10 receiver and top-55 overall prospect in the class of 2018.
