Lawson excited to be home, eager to start second season in Buffalo

CENTRAL, S.C. — Shaq Lawson is glad to be back home, giving back to the community.

The budding Buffalo Bills edge rusher is one of four Daniel High School graduates, former Clemson football players and current NFL players who returned to their alma mater on Friday for the third annual Alumni Football Camp at Daniel High, a camp for youth kids that was started by Jarvis Jenkins and DeAndre Hopkins.

“It’s great coming back to your high school and giving back to the community that you grew up in,” Lawson said. “It’s always great to see the boys. We’re always in season or always traveling during the offseason, so coming back to see the guys that went to Daniel and helping out the kids means a lot to us.”

Fully healthy again after missing the first part of his rookie season following shoulder surgery, Lawson is eager for his second year with the Bills.

“I’m looking forward to having a great camp and a great 2017 season,” he said.
