4-star DL names Clemson among finalists, says commitment coming

Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren 2019 four-star defensive tackle Jacob Lacey named Clemson one of his top six schools on Monday via social media and said he will make his decision soon.

Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Tennessee join the Tigers as finalists.

“Here is my list of my top schools in alphabetical order,” Lacey wrote in a post on Twitter. “I would like to thank every school that has shown interest in me, and everyone who has helped me with this process. With that being said I will be committing to one of these top schools soon.”

Lacey (6-2, 300) received an offer from Clemson while on campus for the Dabo Swinney Camp in early June. Prior to that, he visited Clemson for its junior day in March as well as the Louisville game last fall.

He is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 8 defensive tackle and No. 126 overall prospect in the class of 2019.
