Five-star defensive end K.J. Henry, one of Clemson’s top targets in the 2018 class, is down to five schools.
Henry named Clemson one of the five finalists in his recruitment on Monday, along with Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
These schools will receive official visits from Henry, who plans to enroll early at his school of choice.
Henry, a product of Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth High, previously announced a top 10 in April comprised of Clemson, Alabama, Charlotte, Georgia, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Henry (6-6, 230) competed at the Dabo Swinney Camp in 2015 before receiving one of his 30-plus scholarship offers from Clemson in March 2016. He attended the Tigers’ top-five matchup against Louisville last October and most recently visited Clemson with his family in March.
As a junior last season, Henry accounted for 17 sacks, six blocked punts and six touchdown receptions playing defensive end and tight end.
ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports rank Henry as a top-15 recruit nationally regardless of position.
