Lot of movement on the scale as Tigers weigh in

The Clemson football team did its annual weigh-in on Wednesday. Dabo Swinney always does his annual weigh-in the day before fall camp begins, which subsequently will start on Thursday afternoon.

There were some noticeable drops and increases on the scale on Wednesday as the Tigers had their first weigh-in at the brand new Allen Reeves Football Complex in Clemson. Defensive tackles Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence both dropped weight with Wilkins the most noticeable at 297. He weighed 310 pounds at the end of spring practice.

Lawrence dropped from 340 to 337.

As for some of the others on the defensive line, Nyles Pinckney, a redshirt freshman, increased his weight from 295 to 298. Albert Huggins went from 305 to 299, while Jabril Robinson increased his weight from 265 to 273.

At the end positions, Austin Bryant checked in at 266 pounds, while Clelin Ferrell came in at 265. Freshman linebacker Justin Foster weighed in at 255, while fellow freshman Logan Rudolph was 238. Chris Register checked in at 253 pounds at defensive end.

Freshman defensive end Jordan Williams weighed in at 280 pounds.

At linebacker, Dorian O’Daniel was 224 pounds followed by James Skalski, who was 237 pounds. Shaq Smith checked in at 244 pounds, followed by Chad Smith at 239. Jalen Williams was 212 pounds.

In the secondary, Ryan Carter came in at 184 pounds, followed by Marcus Edmond’s 183. Edmond improved by eight pounds. Mark Fields weighed in at 178 pounds, while Denzel Johnson was 202.

Trayvon Mullen dropped three pounds and came in at 182, while safety Tanner Muse checked in at 220, which is where he was in the spring. Isaiah Simmons gained three pounds and is now 223, while Van Smith dropped two pounds and checked in at 191.

On offense, quarterback Kelly Bryant had to be checked twice by Swinney after he weighed in at 222 pounds, up seven pounds from the spring. Hunter Johnson gained 10 pounds over the summer and is now up to 210 pounds. Zerrick Cooper checked in at 219 pounds.

On the offensive line, Mitch Hyatt checked in at 302 pounds, which was up seven pounds. Tyrone Crowder weighed in at 338, which was down two pounds. Sean Pollard also dropped weight as he went from 315 pounds to 307. John Simpson dropped four pounds and is now 311 pounds. Taylor Hearn also dropped four pounds and is 321 pounds.

At tight end, Cannon Smith checked in at 269 pounds, up four pounds from the spring, while Milan Richard dropped six pounds and weighs 254.

Deon Cain, who weighed in last year at 218 pounds and was 210 in the spring, dropped the most weight and came in at 192 pounds. T.J. Chase increased his weight to 184 pounds, while Hunter Renfrow was up one pound and is now 181 pounds. Will Swinney is also 181 pounds.

Freshman Amari Rodgers weighs 212 pounds, while Trevion Thompson came in at 198 pounds, down two pounds from the spring. Freshman Tee Higgins checked in at 197 pounds. Ray-Ray McCloud is 184 pounds, while Diondre Overton increased his weight from 200 to 209 pounds.
