On Tuesday, Clemson extended an offer to four-star wide receiver Ramel Keyton.
The class of 2019 prospect from Marietta, Ga., was informed of the offer by Clemson recruiting coordinator Brandon Streeter and receivers coach Jeff Scott.
“I called coach Streeter and then coach Scott gave me the offer when I was on the phone,” Keyon told The Clemson Insider. “He was telling me that he liked my tape and that I can fit well with their offense.”
Keyton (6-2, 180) was excited to pick up the Clemson offer, which he has wanted for some time.
He is a teammate of 2018 defensive end Azeez Ojulari, who received an offer from Clemson in May, and the two have talked about the school.
“It feels good to have the offer,” Keyton said. “I’ve been thinking about Clemson for a while now. I’m always talking about them with Azeez, too. I really like Clemson.”
Keyton said he has already set a visit to Clemson for the Tigers’ game against Auburn on Sept. 9.
“I just get a good feeling about them. I can’t wait to go and visit them and see how it feels being down there,” he said.
Along with Clemson, Keyton lists offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina and Tennessee among others.
Keyton named a few early favorites in his recruitment and gave a timeframe for his future decision.
“I want to commit my senior year, either before the season or right after,” Keyton said, “and I would say Tennessee, Florida, and Auburn are standing out currently.”
Keyton is ranked as a consensus top-250 national recruit in the 2019 class by the major recruiting services.
As a sophomore last season, he caught 77 passes for 1,347 yards.
