Clemson co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach Tony Elliott said freshman running back Travis Etienne is mostly running with the second unit in practice and he is getting a lot of reps.
Elliott said the Louisiana native is the No. 4 running back right now, but he has worked a lot with the second team since Adam Choice has been out with a groin injury.
“I will tell you what, he is fast, he is quick and he has a great feel. He is a natural runner,” Elliott said after practice on Thursday. “As a runner, he is probably looked the best in camp so far with breaking tackles and breaking plays. He is definitely the quickest and he does not know anything so he just playing ball out there.”
