4-star Nebraska commit planning Clemson official visit

On Thursday, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star cornerback Brendan Radley-Hiles received an offer from Clemson.

Radley-Hiles, who committed to Nebraska back in April, told The Clemson Insider he is now planning to take an official visit to Clemson.

“It felt great,” he said of the offer. “Clemson is a great program, and I look forward to learning more about it.”

In addition to Clemson and Nebraska, Radley-Hiles has offers from Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin among others.

Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables and cornerbacks coach Mike Reed have communicated with him.

“They are very interested,” Radley-Hiles said, “and look forward to learning more about my family and I.”

Radley-Hiles (5-10, 185) transferred to IMG Academy from Calabasas (Calif.) following his junior year. He played at Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) before returning home to California for his junior year.

At IMG, he is of course teammates with 2018 Clemson commits Mike Jones and Xavier Thomas, both of whom haven’t wasted any time starting to help the Tigers recruit him.

“They’re coming for me. They are already on it,” Radley-Hiles said, laughing.

As a junior at Calabasas last season, Radley-Hiles recorded 54 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, four passes defensed and one forced fumble. He also tallied 51 receptions for 806 yards and 10 touchdowns offensively.

Rivals, Scout and 247Sports rank Radley-Hiles as a top-10 cornerback and top-50 prospect regardless of position in the class of 2018.
