Clemson's Huegel injures knee

Clemson has potentially lost kicker Greg Huegel to a knee injury, and he could be lost for the season.

The Clemson Insider learned through two sources on Thursday Huegel injured his knee during practice on Wednesday. TCI was told it was on the last play of practice.

The redshirt junior underwent an MRI, but the results are not known at this time. Clemson is expected to officially release its weekly injury report on Thursday evening.

Huegel has been the Tigers’ only placekicker the last two-plus seasons, while making 43 of his 55 attempts. This year, the redshirt junior made just two of his four attempts and had one extra point blocked, but he made his last two kicks against Louisville, including a career-long 49-yard field goal.
