Another week, another Trevor Lawrence all-star performance.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound quarterback once again dominated on the gridiron under the lights this past Friday night. Lawrence threw for 308 yards on 16-of-23 passes and five touchdowns in a 55-6 win over Carrol Central (Ga.).
Cartersville looks to be on its way to a third consecutive AAAA state championship under the leadership of the five-star quarterback. It has won 36 consecutive games going into this week.
Lawrence continues to elevate his game every week, which is difficult considering he is throwing less than 25 passes per game and not even playing the entirety of the game.
His weekly play prompts the question, will he come right into Death Valley and challenge for the starting job? He has the tools and can add enough bulk to quickly pass the eye test while also possessing an advanced knowledge of the game that most college vets don’t even have.
This makes Lawrence an even more enticing player and storyline.
