Clemson continues to roll along

Second-ranked Clemson continued its undefeated season with a 28-14 victory over Wake Forest Saturday in Death Valley.

Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant completed 21-of-29 passes for 200 yards, while running for 39 more in the victory. Before leaving the game with an ankle injury in the third quarter, the junior threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Deon Cain.

Backups Zerrick Cooper and Hunter Johnson split time at quarterback for the Tigers after Bryant went, with Johnson going 5-for-5 for 42 yards and a touchdown, marking the freshman’s first career scoring pass.

Defensive end Austin Bryant powered the defensive performance, garnering two of Clemson’s eight tackles for loss, while safety Tanner Muse led the team with eight tackles.
