Clayton (N.C.) 2019 four-star defensive end Savion Jackson named Clemson one of his top 10 schools on Tuesday evening via social media.
Alabama, Tennessee, Louisville, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech and N.C. State also made Jackson’s list, in no order.
In addition to the aforementioned schools, Jackson has offers from Boston College, Duke, East Carolina, Florida, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Wake Forest. Clemson has not yet offered.
Jackson (6-3, 245) visited Clemson for the first time in March to watch a spring practice before returning to compete at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June.
He told TCI recently that there is a lot he likes about Clemson.
“I love the coaching staff, the atmosphere, the culture they have, and how successful the D-line is,” Jackson said.
As a sophomore last season, Jackson tallied 51 tackles and seven sacks.
He is ranked as a top-five defensive end and top-50 overall prospect in the 2019 class by ESPN, Scout and 247Sports.
