Earlier this week, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney brought his seniors and leadership council together and challenged them to step things up and get the seventh-ranked Tigers focused again as they prepare for the second half of the regular season.
Clemson, who is coming off a rare loss to Syracuse, still has all of its goals there for the taken, it just has to come back from this bye week and not take any more games for granted.
The Tigers (6-1, 4-1 ACC) return to the field on Oct. 28 when they host Georgia Tech in Death Valley for an 8 p.m. kick.
“As a unit, we feel the leaders have been stepping up this week,” wide receiver Diondre Overton said. “They have definitely tried to be more motivational. They are trying to lead practice. Coach Swinney has challenged all of the leaders this week so we are going to see how we respond.”
