Clemson has offered Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity 2019 four-star athlete Steele Chambers, he announced on Monday.
Chambers (pictured left) also has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee and Wisconsin among others.
Chambers attended Clemson’s game against Auburn on Sept. 9 and also visited Clemson back in 2015.
TCI spoke with him after the Auburn game about his experience.
“A lot stands out about Clemson,” he said. “I love their aggressiveness, the coaching staff is very personable, and they are committed to winning. Academics are extremely important to me and they seem to be committed to that as well.”
Chambers (6-2, 215) plays both ways for his team and been evaluated by the Tigers on both sides of the ball.
As a sophomore last season, Chambers recorded 74 tackles and six interceptions from the safety position. He also ran for 1,486 yards and 21 touchdowns.
In nine games this season, Chambers has 132 carries for 870 yards (6.6 average) and 14 touchdowns. He has also tallied 40 tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and two forced fumbles.
