Commit Performance of the Week

This week’s Commit Performance of the Week award goes to…Derion Kendrick.

I know it might seem weird not having Trevor Lawrence in here this week but Kendrick outdid the quarterback prodigy this week.

Kendrick carried South Pointe (S.C.) past Belton-Honea Path (S.C.) 45-3 last Friday night. With that win, the Stallions continued their perfect 12-0 season to the third round of the South Carolina 4-A playoffs.

The future Tigers’ wide receiver once again played under center, completing 12-of -8 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while adding 125 yards and two more scores on the ground.

Kendrick will bring a wealth of knowledge and versatility to Wide Receiver University when he suits up next season, and could be in line for early playing time. We’ve seen it so far this year from freshmen Amari Rodgers and Tee Higgins.
