One of the standout guests Clemson hosted for The Citadel game on Saturday was Jefferson (Ga.) four-star tight end Garmon Randolph.
It marked the first visit to Clemson for the 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect in the class of 2019.
“It was an amazing experience,” Randolph told The Clemson Insider. “The crowd was amazing.”
What else stood out to Randolph?
“Their locker room atmosphere,” he said.
Randolph spoke with Clemson assistants Danny Pearman and Mike Reed during the visit.
“They like my film a lot and would love for me to come to the junior day,” Randolph said of what he heard from the coaches.
Randolph continues to emerge on the recruiting scene. He received his first power conference offers from Florida and South Carolina in October before Ole Miss and Auburn came in with offers this month.
What does Randolph feel he has to offer as a tight end?
“I’m very athletic and I can block deceptively well,” he said.
Randolph has visited Florida and South Carolina this season, as well. He also holds an offer from Texas State and said he is getting mail from many other programs.
