Welcome back Derion Kendrick.
One of the last commits standing this week after several future Tigers fell in their respective high school playoff brackets, including a shocking loss for Trevor Lawrence’s squad, snapping their streak of 41 consecutive victories.
Kendrick helped South Pointe (S.C.) pound Eastside (S.C) in a 48-0 victory on Friday night in the South Carolina State Playoffs. Once again, he suited up at quarterback for the Stallions, showcasing his athleticism and burning his opponent with his arm and his legs.
Kendrick finished the contest completing 11-of-14 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown, while adding 53 yards on eight carries and two more touchdowns on the ground.
Undefeated and ranked No. 5 in USA Today’s Super 25 Expert Ratings, South Pointe and Kendrick will take on Greer (S.C.) this coming Friday in the South Carolina Class AAAA Semifinals.
