Clemson point guard Shelton Mitchell suffered an upper body injury around the head, neck and shoulder area in the first half of Friday’s win over Texas Southern.
Mitchell tried to come back in the second half, but he got hit again early and the training staff would not allow him to return to the game.
Clemson head coach Brad Brownell said they are not sure what the injury is at this point.
Mitchell had 10 points and three assists for the Tigers prior to the injury.
