Recruits react to Clemson's ACC Championship victory

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Top-ranked Clemson routed No. 7 Miami, 38-3, in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night. The Tigers won their third consecutive conference title and clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff for the third straight season.

After the game, The Clemson Insider reached out to a number of Clemson’s commits and recruits to get their reactions to the Tigers’ victory. Here’s what they had to say:

Clemson commit Josh Belk, 2018 4-star DT, Richburg (S.C.) Lewisville: “Really thought there was going to be a little competition. But I’m glad we got the W. I know they worked for it day in and day out. It showed how much they prepared.”

Clemson commit Jake Venables, 2018 4-star LB, Central (S.C.) Daniel: “Very proud. Can’t wait to join this program!”

Owen Pappoe, 2019 5-star LB, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson: “Too easy.”

Noah Cain, 2019 5-star RB, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy: “Dominant performance and they’re playoff ready.”

Curtis Fann, 2019 4-star DL, Twin City (Ga.) Emanuel County Institute: “It was an amazing and dominating game played by Clemson.”

Steele Chambers, 2019 4-star ATH, Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity: “To be honest it was a boring game. It’s crazy how these championship games are not even close. As always Clemson is always solid.”

Ramel Keyton, 2019 4-star WR, Marietta (Ga.): “I love the way they dominated Miami.”

Michel Dukes, 2019 RB, Charleston (S.C.) First Baptist: “I thought Clemson did a great job both offensively and defensively.”

Zovon Lindsay, 2019 DT, Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity Christian: “They dominated the whole game and they showed why they are the best program in the country.”

Aidan Swanson, 2019 P, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy: “Just amazed by how Clemson played tonight. Absolutely dominated Miami. That turnover chain really helped them out (laughing). But that’s what Clemson does. Every game I watch I know they’re going to win because they prepare so well and are ready every single game.”
