Jacob Hennessy got the word Tuesday that he will get the start Friday on opening day for No. 12 Clemson when it hosts William & Mary at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Hennessy says he is “ready to go” after adding another pitch in the off-season and showing consistency the last three weeks.
