Brad Brownell decided during his first meeting with Terry Don that Clemson was a place he wanted to be badly. After the first interview Brad decided he would do everything he could to convince Terry Don that he was the man for the job.
Brownell credited Bobby Knight and others for his development as a coach.
The move back south was an easy one for Brownell after spending 12 years at UNC Wilmington. His wife is ready for some ice tea.
Brad’s two daughter play soccer instead of basketball and one of his daughters wanted to know if Clemson had football. Coach Brownell said after the press conference that he couldn’t wait to touch the rock.
Brownell is confident the current team will quickly adjust to the new staff.
Coach Brownell expects one of his former assistants to get the Wright State job as soon as Wednesday. The search is on for assistants. At least one assistant coach from Wright State will come with him to Clemson.
