Parker Keeps Decision in Perspective

After helping lead the Tigers to playing on the final Saturday at Rosenblatt stadium in the College World Series, Kyle Parker and his family can start working on deciding his future.

While many may think the upcoming decision will be one of the biggest of his life, Kyle knows that there are many other things much more important in life.  A close friend of the family was injured very badly this week and the outlook is not promising.  Another family member is going through a very difficult situation right now.

The All-American and his family have always done a lot to help others (more information at Athletes2Champions.Org), but the events of the past week have reminded the family that there are many things much more important in life.

Kyle and his family will visit Colorado later this week where the Rockies will roll out the red carpet for the No. 26 overall selection in the Major League Baseball draft.  The family will spend several days in Colorado learning more about the Rockies and the surroundings in Colorado.

The two-sport star had hoped to have a decision by the end of June, but that will not happen. The negotiations with the Rockies will pickup after the team visits Colorado.

After going from one sport right into the other for the past two years Kyle will be taking some time off this week to rest before heading to Colorado.
