Clemson verbal commitment Jerome Maybank is working hard this summer and he can’t wait for his final season at Waccamaw.
“I have just been training and conditioning. We have some team workouts going on right now. Today we had the passing league. Next week we will come out and do some linemen drills,” said Maybank.
Jerome keeps in touch with his future teammates.
“ I have been talking with Charone on Facebook. I talk with with DeShawn a lot and Shaq and I text a lot,” said Maybank.
The Palmetto standout is excited about the outstanding recruiting class the Tigers are putting together for 2011.
“We really have a good class coming together. I like most of the guys that are in it. We are getting close,” said Maybank.
Jerome hopes to help Clemson land another top Palmetto prospect.
“I am trying to get in touch with Dukes. I want to see if we can get him,” said Maybank.
Waccamaw and their top lineman will hit the practice fields in just a few weeks.
“We start practice the first week in August,” said Maybank.
Before practice cranks up the prize recruit will spend some time with family.
“I am going to a family reunion at the end of the month in Newberry. That is the big Clemson side of my family,” said Maybank.
