Seven Former Tigers in Field at Wyndham

Clemson, SC—A record seven former Clemson golfers will compete in the Wyndham Invitational at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC this weekend.      The tournament is the last PGA Tour event prior to the start of the FedX Cup Playoffs.

The list of former Tigers in the field includes 2009  United States Open Champion Lucas Glover, D.J. Trahan, Jonathan Byrd, Charles Warren, Kevin Johnson, Brent Delahoussaye and Brian Duncan.  Glover and Trahan are already locks to make the FedX Cup Playoffs as they are ranked in the top 70 in those rankings.  Byrd is also under the 125 cut line, but needs to play well this weekend to lock up a spot.  Warren, Johnson and Delahoussaye are looking to play their way in to the playoffs.

Duncan is not on the PGA Tour, but  got into the tournament through a Monday qualifier when he shot a 67 at Forest Oaks Country Club.  Duncan, a member of Clemson’s 2003 National Championship team who was an All-American on Clemson’s 2006 team, will be making his PGA Tour debut.  He has played in six Nationwide Tour events.
