The Shaq Diaries

By Shaq Anthony.

Clemson verbal commitment Shaq Anthony, one of the leaders of the 2011 recruiting class, is doing a diary with  In this edition Shaq talks about the impressive preseason for Wren, playing against DeShawn Williams last week and more!

We scrimmaged against Pendleton first.  Then we played West Oak and Daniel in the jamboree.  The Pendleton game went really well.  It was good to get our first good scrimmage done.

We got better and last Friday we dominated West Oak.  We played Daniel and came out and beat them 28-7.

We are very confident right now.  We are working hard every day.  Every now and then we take a step back, but at the end of the day we remember to work hard and have fun.

This week we play Mauldin.  I know my guys will be excited and ready to go.  When we open with Palmetto next week we will be ready.  We are ready to get things rolling.

I haven’t talked to a lot of guys the last week or so because it has been football, football, football.  I have been concentrating on my team.  I did talk with DeShawn after the scrimmage.  He said we had a good game.   DeShawn had a great game.  He had about three sacks.  He was really getting after it.  I told the guards he was a great player.  I was proud of him.  We talked about our season and who we play.

I haven’t made it over to Clemson for practice yet.  I have been so busy with our team.  I can’t wait to see the first game against North Texas.
