Harper Ready to Pound It

Jamie Harper looks forward to his opportunity to carry the load for the Tigers this fall along with Andre Ellington.  After playing a support role the past two years, Jamie is ready to take a lead role with the offense.

If coach Napier wants to run first and ask questions later that is fine with Harper.

“Oh definitely that is to my liking, but they haven’t talked to me about it.  We are ready to pound it, pound it, pound it,” said Harper.

The offensive line is playing well and should allow the Tigers to pound the ball the fall.

“The continuity of the line has really been coming along.  They are putting the combination blocks together.  Everything is really popping right now,” said Harper.

The junior scored with a long run and a short run in last Saturday’s scrimmage.  Jamie credited his offensive line from opening the holes to allow him to take it to the house.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has praised Jamie’s ability to catch the ball numerous times over the past year.
