Clemson verbal commitment Adam Humphries has been playing some quarterback during August because of injuries to Dorman’s quarterbacks.

“Our two starting quarterbacks have been hurt so I have been playing some quarterback.  Casey Cohen and I have been playing quarterback.  The last time I played quarterback was in the ninth grade.  It is actually tougher than I thought.  Playing receiver I just need to know what is happening on one side.  At quarterback you have to know what everyone is doing.  Our second string quarterback came bac and our starter should be back for the first game,” said Humphries.

Dorman had a chance to scrimmage another top team last week.

“We scrimmaged against Northwestern this week.  It went pretty good.  They have that good quarterback.  They threw it around so it was good for our defensive backs,” said Humphries.

This week the season opens with Dorman traveling to Gaffney.

“We open up playing against Gaffney.  I can’t wait to get the season going,” said Humphries.

Adam and his teammate Charone are already learning what life will be like at Clemson.

“Charone and I went down and watched Clemson practice earlier this month.  It went good.  We sat in the meeting room with the receivers.  We got to see what we will be going through next year.  It was a little head start for us,” said Humphries.

Hopkins really impressed the Dorman standout during the visit.

“I got to see a lot of the players.  I met DeAndre.  He looked pretty good for a freshman,” said Humphries.
