Hawkins' Challenge - No. 1 Rushing Defense

By

Corico Hawkins has a challenge for his defensive teammates.  He wants to Tigers to have the No. 1 rushing defense in the nation.  That all beings with a big challenge Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.

“I am going to challenge the guys today.  I am going to challenge our guys to be the number one defense in the nation against the rush,” said Hawkins.

Corico and the Tigers will try to shutdown Lance Dunbar who had 1,378 yard rushing last year.  Dunbar is among the best in the nation according to the Clemson linebacker.

“He could play anywhere in the country,” said Hawkins.

Corico believes the Tigers have the guys up front to dominate and that makes his job easier.

“It’s no secret.  You all know we have if not the best defensive line in the country, one of them,” said Hawkins.
