Based on a coach’s decision we had some guys that didn’t get to play and a few others couldn’t play due to the Daniel game fight.  It really killed us.  When it came down to it we couldn’t win without our marquee players.

I take responsibility for that as a team leader and a team captain.  I tried to do everything I could.  I told the guys they had to play with heart.

I went back and looked at the video.  Everyone was playing hard.  We just didn’t’ execute sometimes and missed some assignments.

I had six knockdown blocks and graded out at 88.  I played well, but I have some areas I will work to do even better.

We get everyone back this week except our right guard possibly.  I am confident our other guard that played Friday can get it done.  We play Riverside this week.  We are looking for to bounce back and we are ready to go.

When it comes down to it, we should have never played the way we did.  We lost our first game, but we are in it to win the last game of the year, the state championship.  We have the talent to do it.  We have some places we need to improve tremendously, but I believe we can do it.

I am not going to make it to the Clemson game Saturday.  My aunt is getting married.  I got on her, but I’m not going to get into that.  That is my mom’s sister and she is family.

I will be there for the Presbyterian game.  I can’t wait to see them play.

I talked to DeShawn this week.  We talked about our games.  It was the same thing for him as they had some guys out.

I talked to coach Scott last week.  I haven’t seen him since our game.  He told me he was proud of me.  He said everything was going good at Clemson and they were ready to play.
