Bowers: Team Ready for Adversity

Clemson defensive end DaQuan Bowers talked Tuesday about what the team must do to handle the difficult environment they will face at Auburn Saturday night.

“Coach Swinney has challenged the team to see how we respond to adversity.  He mentioned some times last year that we responded,” said Bowers.

DaQuan says the team leaders will need to make sure the team reacts correctly when they face adversity.

“I think we have great leaders on this team.  I think we have enough vocal leaders to get the team back to where they need to be,” said Bowers.

Discipline is the key to stopping Cam Newton.

“Our team is disciplined for every team.  We all have certain jobs to do.  It won’t be any different than North Texas or Presbyterian.  If I have the C gap I just need to play the C gap.  I don’t need to worry about the B gap because I know Jarvis has it,” said Bowers.
