Jerome Maybank, the senior defensive tackle from Waccamaw high school in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, says he has not been able to see the first two games the Tigers have played but has made sure to keep up with them.
“I liked how they improved a lot in the second game and they really picked things up. I think their defense looks pretty strong. I guess on offense the question is how they will do with out Jacoby and CJ, but it seems like Andre Ellington and Jamie Harper have been stepping it up,” said Maybank.
Jerome plans on making down to Death Valley soon.
“I will be down for the Miami, Georgia Tech and South Carolina games,” said Maybank.
The 6’4” defensive tackle says he is happy the way his high school team is playing.
“We are surprisingly 3-1 right now. We are a smaller team, but a lot of younger guys have been stepping it up,” said Maybank.
Jerome says he is averaging about 6-7 tackles a game and a couple of them going for losses.
What is Jerome trying to work on before coming to Clemson?
“Quick feet, change of direction, and hitting the weight room and staying in condition during the off-season,” replied Maybank.
