Minute with Marlin

By Marlin Lane.

Marlin Lane, one of the top running backs in the nation, is doing a diary with TheClemsonInsider.com.  In this edition Marlin talks about his return to the field Friday night, his plans for the Miami game and much more!

I am planning on playing this week.  I will probably get a couple of minutes in the first quarter and then go from there.  I am going to play slot receiver.   On certain plays I will play running back.

I am very excited.  My knee is the last thing on my mind.  I want to get on that green grass and show everyone who the best back for 2011 is.

We play Osceola this week.  They are pretty good.  They were beating us last year at the half, but we came back and beat them.

I just got off the phone with coach Rumph.  He was asking me how it feels.  He told me to be careful.  I told him I am 100 percent sure.  I took two months to run and rehab on it.

I got out there this week and practiced hard for three days.

My dad came and watched me practice yesterday.  He told me I practiced pretty good.  I did some one on one drills with the receivers for him.  He is okay now.  He wants me to play next week, but I want to play tomorrow.

I will be up for Miami.  Cortez, my dad, my uncles and a couple of my players are coming.  We are going to bring a house up there.

I didn’t get a chance to watch them last week.  I will watch them Saturday.
