Parker Returns to Auburn

Kyle Parker had one of the best days of his life the last time he was in Auburn.  On June, 7 Kyle hit a three-run homerun in the first inning to help the Tigers win the regional and advance to the Super Regional.  That was Kyles 20th homerun making him the first Division 1 player ever to hit 20 homeruns and throw 20 touchdowns in the same academic year.

While the game was going on Kyle’s dad watched from the stands with a laptop in his lap following the Major League Baseball draft.  Kyle was drafted with the No. 26 pick by the Colorado that night.

Parker One of Nation’s Best

Clemson’s Kyle Parker is off to a strong start in 2010.  Kyle’s passing efficiency is 192.2.  If he had enough passing attempts that would rank fifth in the nation.

Both Teams Pressure  the QB

Both teams have done a good job of getting to the quarterback in 2010 and causing negative plays.  Clemson has eight sacks on the year average 4 per game.  That ranks fifth in the nation.  Auburn is 10th in the nation with 3.5 sacks per game.

Seven Tigers from Alabama

Seven Tigers will return home when Clemson battles Auburn.  Brandon Maye, Demont Buice, Desmond Brown, Antoine McClain, DrewTraylor, Darrell Smith and Brandon Clear all have ties to Alabama.

Special Teams Off to a Good Start

Dawson Zimmerman leads the nation in punting with a 49.78 average.  Marcus Gilchrist is sixth in the nation in punt returns with a 23.75 average.  Marcus also averages 29 yards on two kickoff returns.
