Clemson 2011 linebacker commit Colton Walls tore it up in his last game.

“I had 15 tackles, 4 for loss 2 forced fumbles and a sack,” said Walls.

Colton Walls plays  for Latin High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, his team is currently 3-1.

“Our goal for the year was to go undefeated, but we had a tough loss, losing on a kick return.  Our goal is still to go undefeated in our division and win state,” said Walls.

“Over the off-season I worked really hard on getting better in pass coverage.  I worked on dropping back in zone and getting deep in coverage, and also manning up on backs and covering them”, Walls told TheClemsonInsider.com.  “My goal for this year is to get an interception.  I haven’t had a lot of opportunities yet, we have been playing Wing-T offenses so far.”

The 6’1” 215 lbs linebacker has been watching Clemson play on TV and plans on seeing them in person for the Miami, Georgia Tech, and NC State.

“I thought last game was a really tough loss, they looked really good and fast on defense.  I think they are still a top ACC team,” said Walls.

What has Colton been doing to become a better linebacker?  Only modeling himself after one of the best linebackers in the NFL.

“I have been watching a bunch of film of Panthers linebacker Jon Beason.  My dad got me some end zone view tapes, and I have been studying him and trying to get better,” replied Walls.
