This is a huge week for the Tigers, on and off the football field.  Many big name recruits will be in Clemson taking in this weekend’s game, one of them is DT Devonte Brown.  The highly recruited d-lineman will be traveling with his high school teammate and Clemson commit TE Eric MacLain.

“It should be a great game everyone is going to be going all out”, said Brown.

Devonte has been very busy so far with school work (he has three A’s and a B) and football, so has not had a chance to watch many games or visit schools.  His trip to Clemson will be his first visit of the year, he has not decided if he wants to use his official visit for this game or on a Clemson game later in the year.  For an ‘official’ visit recruits have everything paid for them, meals, travel, and accommodations.  With ‘unofficial’ visits, they get access to tickets, but are responsible for everything else.

What is Devonte looking for in a school?

“Basically a school that will be in my best interest; a school that will benefit me education wise, be a hard working atmosphere, and a place I will be comfortable at,” replied Brown.

The 6’4” 280 lbs. standout has helped lead the Jack Britt Buccaneers to a perfect 6-0 record so far.

“Everything is going good so far, I recently picked my game up and am doing a lot better in the past weeks.  We just got to keep working hard and getting better,” said Brown.
