Clemson battles Miami Saturday at noon in Death Valley. Each week TheClemsonInsider.com will take a unique look at the game.
TheClemsonInsider.com brings you this week’s edition of Over or Under.
1. Andre Ellington Rushes for 100 Yards
OVER: Andre Ellington is quickly showing that he is one of if not the best running back in the ACC. After putting up 140 yards rushing against Auburn there fans around the nation are learning what Clemson fans already knew, that the running back position at Clemson is in great shape even with the departure of C.J. Spiller.
The running game will be critical for the Tigers again Saturday. Look for Ellington to once again go for over 100 yards as he gets to the second level on a number of plays.
2. Harris Throws One Interception
Over: The Clemson defensive line will put pressure on Harris all afternoon. This will allow the secondary to return a few interceptions that will help the Tigers win the turnover battle.
Harris already has six interceptions on the year. DeAndre McDaniel had a big smile this week when asked if he thought he could get another pic 6 this year against Harris.
The Clemson secondary will get beat a few times, but they will also force a couple of turnovers.
3. Tigers Score 25 Points
OVER: Expect Clemson to need to score at least score 25 points to beat the Canes for the second year in a row. Miami will be the best defense the Tigers have faced this year, but the offense is getting better each game.
Clemson will be able to run the ball against Miami and Parker will move the ball through the air with the screen game. The Tigers will also beat Miami deep a few times.
Look for the Tigers to score over 30 Saturday afternoon.
4. Parker Throws Two Touchdown Passes
Over: Jacory Harris is getting all of the hype this year, but Kyle Parker is by far the better quarterback. Look for Kyle to once again show that he is the better quarterback just like he did last year when Clemson defeated Miami in overtime.
The only thing that could stop Kyle from having another strong performance is another injury. Kyle appears to be ready to go, but we won’t know for sure until he gets hit a few times Saturday.
If Kyle is healthy look for him to find the endzone on at least 3 passes Saturday.
