Rally Cat Report - Homecoming!

By Georgia Anderson.

It’s that time of year again, Clemson Homecoming, and along with that comes so many things to look forward to!  Fraternity Floats on Bowman, TIGERAMA, and of course our big homecoming football game against Miami are just a few examples.  With fall weather kicking in, football season in full swing, Tigerama this weekend, and basketball just around the corner, this is a busy and exciting time for the Rally Cats.

Our top priority of the moment is of course Tigerama, which we are incredibly excited about. This homecoming pep rally is an important Clemson tradition that has been bringing the student body together to show their school spirit since 1957.  The Tiger Band, Cheerleaders, Tiger Roar, Miss Homecoming, and our very own Clemson Tigers with head coach Dabo Swinney will all be making appearances, along with various other individuals and groups.

With that being reason enough for excitement, it is also really special to the Rally Cats for another reason.  While you see us cheering for our Tigers and using some of our pom skills on the sidelines at football and basketball games, this is our chance to really show the student body what we can do.  We absolutely LOVE being out there on the field, but Tigerama gives us the opportunity to show off some of our technical dance training, which is a nice treat.  We will be doing routines in jazz, hip-hop, and pom.  We’re looking forward to a large crowd Friday night, and we will be sure to keep you entertained.  The event begins at 7 pm and tickets are 8 dollars in advance, 10 dollars at the door, and only 6 dollars for students with a CUID.

Saturday we are expecting a packed stadium, as our Tigers take on the Miami Hurricanes in their first ACC game of the season.  I’m sure this will be an exciting homecoming game, and I cannot wait to see Death Valley decked out in orange and rockin’ as we show our support.  Games like this are what the Rally Cats live for.  Just like you hopefully feed off of our excitement, it makes our awesome jobs even better when we see an animated crowd spending their Saturday watching the Tigers dominate in Death Valley!  We can’t wait to see everyone there for kick-off at noon tomorrow! Go Tigers!
