Bowers Ready to Move Forward

Clemson junior defense end DaQuan Bowers knows the Tigers must focus on North Carolina and put the loss to Miami behind them.

“It is tough, but you have to put it behind you.  When you win close games like that you go forward.  When you lose close games like that you go forward.  This football team has to move forward because we have the rest of the season ahead,” said Bowers.

Last years experience where the Tigers won six in a row to win the Atlantic helps provide confidence.

“It definitely is because we have been in this sitatuation before.  We started at 2-3 last year and are 2-2 this year.  Every goal that we set for ourselves is still available,” said Bowers.

The North Carolina offense will provide a good challenge for DaQuan and the defense.

“They have great athletes on that team.  T.J. is very smart and the running backs run hard.  I know they are going to give us their A game so the defensive job is to come to play and play our scheme.  We need to play Clemson football and I think we will be fin,” said Bowers.
